Cannons Blast Outlaws in Shootout

The Boston Cannons, freshly eliminated from playoff contention and playing for pride on Saturday night won their last game of the season against the MLL’s best team, the Denver Outlaws 20-14. It was a high scoring affair for both teams. Boston had two five goal scorers in Matt Alrich and Matt Casey, who also added assists for six points each. Mike Powell had a hat trick and three assists for Boston to contribute six points as well. Denver was lead by Matt Brown and Brendan Mundorf, who each had hat tricks for Denver. Boston’s season is over and Denver returns to Boston in two weeks for the MLL semifinals and championship game.
