Boston Cannons: The Dallas Cowboys of the MLL

   

There is one thing that the Boston Cannons of Major League Lacrosse have in common with the NFL’s Dallas Cowboys. They both wear white uniforms in a majority of their games. While high school and college lacrosse rules dictate the home team wears white uniforms, Major League Lacrosse rules state that the home team should wear colored jerseys. Boston has stayed with traditional lacrosse rules the past few seasons and has worn white jerseys at home, and since every other MLL team wears their colored jerseys when Boston is the visiting team, the Cannons are usually in white on the road as well. Its rare when you will see the Boston Cannons in their blue uniforms. Maybe dressing in whites at home and forcing the Cannons to wear their colored jerseys will be something that the other teams of the MLL will do in the future. Just like the Washington Redskins and Dallas Cowboys do to each other every season.
