What to Watch: 2 (or 3) Games on Saturday!

Game One: Johns Hopkins vs. Loyola 1pm EST ESPNU

Both teams are already in the NCAA tournament. Loyola with the ECAC automatic bid, and since Hopkins is guaranteed a over .500 winning percentage, there is no way the committee would leave them out. You might think that since both teams are waiting for the playoffs that their starters would rest, but this is one of the best rivalry games in college lacrosse. So expect to see Rabil, Huntley and Finnerty on the field.

Game Two: Maryland vs. Yale 1pm EST CBSSports (better TIVO this one so you can watch the Hopkins game).

At 8-5, there isn’t much Maryland can do to improve their image for the committee. The will most likely be in since they are still a top 10 team and had several big wins this year. Yale is 4-9 and playing for pride. I would think Maryland would keep out some of its big guns after awhile.

Game Three: Colorado Mammoth vs. Calgary Roughnecks 11pm MST Altitude

If you are a fan of indoor lacrosse, this should be a good game since its a playoff game. I used to really enjoy the NLL, I even had season tickets to the Arizona Sting. However, the lack of rules and familiar players makes it hard for me to watch. I prefer college games.
