The Barrage proved again for the second week in a row that they can score in runs. They lead the first half of the game against the Cannons 12-6. Boston answered with a big third quarter scoring six goals to a single Barrage score, but were not able to get any closer. They lost the game 16-14. Boston may have one of the best offenses in the MLL, but it wasn’t enough to get them a victory. Overall, there was only a handful of goal scorers for both teams. For Philly it was Seth Goldberg who had a hat trick and a two point goal, Roy Colsey with a hat trick, Ryan Boyle and Matt Striebel each had a hat trick and an assist. For Boston it was Mike Powell with a hat trick and two assists, John Christmas with a pair of goals and and assist, Matt Alrich with a hat trick, Sean Morris with a single goal, and Paul Rabil with four goals and a two point goal.
This ends the Boston Cannon win streak at three games. The Barrage have won two straight and are now 5-3 while Boston drops to 4-3. With Long Island losing to the New Jersey Pride 26-20, this should make things interesting in the Eastern Conference.
