The Golden Domers come into the NCAA tournament with the #6 seed, as well as an impressive 13-2 record. They also won the GWLL conference, but they would have been an at large bid regardless. UND beat tournament teams Ohio State 2x, and Loyola. They lost to North Carolina and Denver.

Colgate (11-5) won the Patriot League by upsetting Navy. They also had a big win over Syracuse the last game of the regular season. However, they did lose to Navy in the regular season, as well as Duke, Denver, and Ohio State.

Trudie Picks-Without a doubt the best match-up in the first round of the tournament. I would make a point to take the kids to a babysitter and/or find a good sports bar to watch this game. While Colgate may have a worse record, they had a much more difficult schedule and did have a few big wins to finish out the year. Both teams have pretty good talent. Since I have to choose a winner, I will go with Notre Dame. Only because I want to see a rematch of the 2001 National Semifinal they had with Syracuse next weekend. Irish will win a close game.
