UVA is the #2 seeded team in the NCAA tournament. They were 12-3 in the regular season with wins over Syracuse, Johns Hopkins, North Carolina, and Maryland in the ACC Tournament. Virgina lost to Duke twice and Maryland in the regular season.

UMBC is the America East Champion and also has a 12-3 record. They beat tournament teams Maryland, Ohio State, and Denver. However, they lost to Hopkins, Rutgers and Delaware. The Retrievers are on a 11 game winning streak.

Trudie Picks: UVA might have home-field advantage in the first round, but they lost to Delaware last year with a home-field game in the first round of the playoffs. UMBC is an under-rated team and could definitely win this game if they play their best. Its going to be a close game, but I am going to go with the upset: UMBC will win.
